smartLINK real-time passenger information announced by Mobile Onboard
In recent years Mobile Onboard have typically chosen Autumn to announce a major new product or service. Last year was the announcement of their entry into the smart ETM market with their mTicketr products along with news that their mobile tickets platform, My Mobile Tickets, had made the transformation into a full-featured smart ticketing system that can handle cashless and contactless payments. This year is no different, with Coach & Bus UK just around the corner, Mobile Onboard have announced a new real-time passenger information (RTPI) addition to their line-up of products and technologies designed for public transport.
Power to the passenger
Called smartLINK, Mobile Onboard’s new app provides passengers with real-time information on bus locations, times, journey planning and disruptions. It also integrates seamlessly with mobile ticketing allowing operators to easily offer their customers the latest information and the ability to buy tickets all from a single app on their mobiles.
The Beam smartLINK system can also power real-time arrival and departure information on large screens. Ideal for operators offering park and ride or commuter services from key locations. Due for launch later this year Mobile Onboard will be on stand C22 at Coach & bus UK where they will be showcasing Beam smartLINK.

The Mobile Onboard team will also be showcasing their updated Beam Next Stop talking bus technology which now benefits from additional capabilities thanks to integration with Beam smartLINK.
